I hope you’ve all had a good 2015 and I wish you many blessings to come in 2016! I’ve greatly enjoyed blogging here for what is now the second year of Staring at Phones, and I’m so glad you’ve all been on this journey with me. I appreciate every one of you.
Speaking of milestones, this post is the 100th post on this blog! Hooray! It seems fitting then, that this post is a recap of the best posts of 2015. Here are my three favorites:
How I Put an SSD in My Macbook (Originally published on March 22, 2015)
My Mac is three years old. It’s a 13″ MacBook Pro, the mid-2012 model. It’s a good computer. It doesn’t have the retina display that the newer models have, but that’s not that big of a deal. The only thing I didn’t like about it was that it didn’t have a solid state drive (SSD). Starting with the MacBook Pro with Retina Display, all MacBook Pros had an SSD and no optical drive. When I first got the computer, I was glad about that. I really didn’t fancy only having 128gb of storage on my laptop, so having a 500gb HDD was nice. I don’t use discs very often, but it was convenient to have the optical drive. Continue reading…

I love this game. The gameplay is simple, yet challenging, the graphics are beautiful, and even the soundtrack is great. There’s something wonderfully addictive about endless runner games, and this one has really got me hook, line, and sinker. Continue reading…

Ah, the iPod Touch. I remember how badly I wanted one in middle school, and how excited I was when I got one in 7th grade. Back in those days, the iPod Touch was about the coolest gadget a kid could have. Nowadays, though, it seems like every kid over 10 has an iPhone.
